実は関西では「納豆が苦手」という人が多く、これを何とかしようと関西限定の記念日としてスタート。その後1992年に全国納豆協同組合連合会が全国の記念日として改めて制定しました。
納豆の健康パワーはすごいんです。ナットウキナーゼという酵素が、心筋梗塞や脳梗塞の原因となる血栓を溶かす作用があると言われています。さらに納豆を食べてから約2〜10時間後に体内で効果を発揮するため、夕食に食べるのが最も効果的とも言われています。

ウルトラマンの日——「穴埋め放送」から生まれた奇跡
1966年7月10日、東京・杉並公会堂で「ウルトラマン前夜祭」が開催され、そのイベントの模様がテレビ放送されました。これがウルトラマンのテレビ初登場となり、「ウルトラマンの日」の由来となっています。
ちなみに実はこの放送、もともとの予定ではありませんでした。前番組「ウルトラQ」の最終話が「内容が難解すぎる」という理由で放送中止になり、その穴埋めとして急遽このイベント映像を放送したのです。

Here’s the thing: that broadcast was never part of the original plan. The final episode of the preceding program “Ultra Q” was pulled from the schedule because it was deemed “too difficult to understand,” and the event footage was hastily aired as a replacement.

Okinawa’s “Finger Whistle Day” 🎵 — Island Culture Encoded in 7 and 10
Today is also “Finger Whistle Day,” established by the Okinawan enthusiast group “Finger Whistle Kingdom Okinawa.”
The number 7 was chosen because it resembles the shape of a curved finger, and 10 because all ten fingers are used in the various techniques. The finger whistle is an indispensable part of Okinawan music, festivals, and eisa dancing — anyone who has visited Okinawa has almost certainly heard it. That distinctive, piercing sound is one of the quintessential sounds of an Okinawan summer.
